OUR POLICY ON SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN

To ensure the protection of children and young people in the care of this Church and of adults who work with them, we are committed to a policy which we hope will minimise the opportunities for child abuse and of false allegations of abuse.

Within the Kingdom of God children matter in their own right and are to be taken seriously.

We aim to apply the highest professional standards in all pastoral, educational, worship and recreational circumstances, fully accepting the intention of the Children Act 1989, 2004 and regulations from the Diocese of St Albans.

All who work with children and young people in this Church will undergo the required enhanced clearance with the Criminal Records Bureau through the Diocese.

A copy of our full policy statement is available on request.

Make sure that YOU know about it.
