Before the nineteenth century restoration a three-decker pulpit stood where our lectern now stands. At the base was the desk of the Parish Clerk, above that the deck for the priest, and the upper deck was the pulpit itself. This top part of the pulpit we still have, now moved to the opposite side of the chancel. It is a good example of a fifteenth century pulpit with linen-fold moulding.
